But, Do Vision Boards Really Work?

Absolutely!

But I didn’t always believe that Vision Boards would work. And I certainly, I wasn’t sure if they would work for me.

So, I understand if you don’t quite see the magic of a vision board yet.

Sure, we’ve all heard about vision boards working for celebrities or other “successful people” that are featured in magazine articles, on the news, and in books. But, I didn’t really know anyone in my immediate circle of friends who had used them successfully.

Still, I thought I had nothing to lose.  And I had “great intentions” to create one – someday.

But that someday didn’t come for years.

Once it did, and I started using a vision board and experiencing success I found myself really wishing I had started using one when I first learned about the. I regretted all those years that I didn’t use one.


Take a look at just a handful of the things I achieved using my vision board. 

This is just a small snapshot.  Last time I counted there were 50+ things that I credit as a vision board success story. 
My first vision board success story. I won a cruise with Richard Paul Evans and Robert G. Allen.
Attracted an INCREDIBLE Deal, and the funds to pay for it, that made Disneyland a possibility. You’ll learn more about how it happened in this course.
A perfect opportunity arose to take my family deep sea fishing. And at a price that fit into the budget.
Spent a week at a Beach Front Condo in San Diego. Something I had wanted to do for years.  Complete with the whale I had envisioned.
Ever since I went to Las Vegas and experienced the Bellagio Fountain I wanted to enjoy a meal with my husband on the patio in front of the Bellagio fountain in Las Vegas. It happened after going on my vision board.
As a little girl I remember wanting to “someday” ride in a limo. I experienced a luxury limo ride for a full evening of touring.
As a young ballet dance I always dreamed of going to New York City.  The thought of going to a Broadway show sounded wonderful.  My trip to New York City happened just two years ago. Complete with a Broadway show, bagels from a Jewish deli, the Statue of Liberty, and much more.
Another of my Vision Board Success stories was Thriller tickets. Thriller is a Halloween spectacular produced by Odyssey Dance Theatre in Utah. It includes some favorite Halloween characters such as Frankenstein, Jason, and Chucky.  And I wanted to go.  But I didn’t want to go to see it in an indoor theatre.  I wanted to go see Thriller at Tuachan in Southern Utah – a spectacular outdoor theatre surrounded by beautiful red rock.  And I wanted to go on Halloween night.

In 2019, I was gifted tickets to Thriller at Tuachan. When she messaged me about a date she said, “October 31st.  Does that work?”  “Absolutely”, I said.

That Beach Front Condo I mentioned happened during the San Diego Vacation that went on my vision board. I knocked off the room at the beach, Sea World, Dinner with Shamu, San Diego  Zoo and Wild Animal Park, and much more on that trip!
As you can see, once I learned how to really work with my vision board my success with them accelerated.

So that’s why my course goes into more than just how to create one. We’ll focus a lot on how to use your vision board as a tool for success  After all, there are plenty of tutorials online on how to create one. You’ll find my way of creating vision boards is different. I don’t even need a. glue stick.

Studies have shown that people who use vision boards on a day to day basis are much more likely to reach their ideal goal in the time frame they set than people who don’t.

In fact, a study by TD Bank showed…

  • 1 in 5 small business owner’s reported using Visual Boards or other visual representation of what they wanted their business to be like when they started their business.
  • Of those who used a vision board, 76% said their business is where they have envisioned it.  76% percent is huge when you consider that most business fails.
  • Almost two-thirds of small business owners believe that visualizing goals helps them map and develop their business plans.
  • Eighty-two percent of small business owners that used a vision board from the get-go reported that they have accomplished more than half the goals they included on that board. This is according to Eliene Zimmerman, a journalist with Forbes magazine.
  • Those who create a vision board for their goals are almost twice as confident they will achieve them than those who don’t visualize their goals in some way. Think about it, if more confidence is all you got out of your vision that alone would be worth it.

At the conclusion of the study, TD Bank hired psychologist Barbara Nussbaum to analyze the survey results. Barbara specializes in the emotional and psychological implications of money. Nussbaum says by visualizing our goals we can “focus on them more, they feel more real and they feel more possible. We also become better at actually moving toward them.”
